What’s On the Turntable

It’s Van Morrison

Some artists just get better and better. Van is just one of them. He is prolific. His discography just grows. Of course, you do have to like blues mixed in with a little rock and some jazz. I’m going to really age myself, but I’ve been a fan since his days with the band “THEM.” We’re talking, what, 1964? Holy Moly. Of course, he’s kind of crabby bastard. Growing up in Northern Ireland with the “Troubles just around the corner will do it. Regardless, for those of you that escape to the blues, don’t forget Van. He’s still going as evidenced by these three relatively new releases.

Given the times, I need to reflect on some of his earlier gems. After all, it is all about the “Blues.”
